InstaSwap Escrow Recovery
Every InstaSwap deposit address on an EVM chain is an escrow contract that only you (the refund address you gave) or the swap can ever receive from. This page lets you recover a deposit without InstaSwap's servers: it asks the four independent approvers for the signatures that deploy your escrow, you send that transaction from your own wallet, and after the escrow's refund timer anyone can push the balance to your refund address.
- Locate: paste the deposit address and pick the chain. The page reads the chain and tells you where the escrow stands.
- Deploy: if the escrow is not on chain yet, collect the approvers' signatures and send
createEscrowfrom your wallet (you pay only gas). - Refund: once the refund timer has passed, send
refundToUser. The escrow can only pay the refund address baked into it.
The refund timer starts when the escrow is deployed, not when you deposited (at most 47 hours on the current generation; the exact time is shown below). Until then only the InstaSwap operator can refund early.
1. Locate the escrow
2. Deploy the escrow
The escrow address is a commitment to your swap (salt, refund address and parties). Deploying it moves no funds; it only starts the refund timer and lets you refund later. The approvers sign the creation after checking the swap record on their own side.
3. Refund
